A single-serve take on the Maple Latte.
Heat the milk for 30 seconds in the microwave. Pour the maple syrup into your mug, and add the nutmeg, allspice, and ground cloves. Brew the Peruvian Blend pod over the maple syrup, and add the warm milk. Stir well, and garnish with a dusting of nutmeg.
1 OneCoffee Colombian Blend pod, brewed at 6 oz
1/2 cup of coconut milk (frozen into ice cubes)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Freeze an ice cube tray filled with coconut milk overnight. Brew the Colombian Blend pod and put in the fridge to chill. Once cold, blend together the coffee, coconut oil, vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Add the coconut milk ice cubes and serve.
We used a OneCoffee Colombian Blend single-serve pod brewed at 6 oz.
1 OneCoffee Ethiopian Blend pod, brewed at 6 oz
1/2 cup of milk
1 tsp lavender syrup
Heat the milk up in the microwave until hot (not boiling). Froth the milk using a hand-frother and set aside. Add your lavender and coffee to a mug, top with the frothed milk and serve.
We used a OneCoffee Ethiopian Blend single-serve pod brewed at 6 oz, but we’d also recommend our French roast or Swiss Water processed Decaf Blend.
Happy Monday! I have the most yummy cold brew coffee smoothie to share with you today. Not only is it delicious, but healthy with only five ingredients. If you have been craving a creamy milkshake, you will love this.
The only downside of this recipe is that it does take a little advance prep with cold brew and coconut milk ice cubes. If you don’t have any cold brew already made or purchased and want to try this today, iced coffee is great too. It will be more acidic if your stomach is sensitive to that. Regular ice cubes can be substituted for the coconut milk ice cubes. The smoothie will still be so good, just not as creamy.
Fill up your ice cube tray with full fat canned coconut milk. The low fat version won’t be as creamy.
The recipe calls for cacao powder, but I had a little of the bag of cacao nibs I had purchased from Parliament Chocolate so I used those. I’m so sad that the bag is empty now. Parliament Chocolate is a small gourmet chocolatier in Redlands, California. I always stop there when visiting family in Cali.
I love the organic pure maple syrup from Costco – such a great value. I also love that you only need a one teaspoon of maple syrup but you can still taste the rich maple.
Place ice cubes, cold brew, one frozen banana, cacao and maple syrup in the blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy. I used my Nutribullet, but I think I may try my Vitamix next time as the ice cubes took a bit to blend up.
You can top it with some homemade whipped cream. I just add a little vanilla, you can add some sweetener if you like.
I also added a little heavy cream after pouring in the mug – so rich and creamy!
I hope you have a wonderful week – thanks for stopping by for coffee!
