i thought it was a very interesting note to include in the vid description. She ctually could sing 5 octaves. (people are stupid in general) But emotion wise...she still shakes me to this day. I am 33 years old. I have listened to this woman since i was a kid . I still cry or laugh or dance or FEEL something. Her emotional connection to us is almost eerie. But in a good way. Janis was awesome with a very unique and mystifying voice i don't think any white chick could ever dupicate.. she was janis. wild. carefree, had her own style i mean you jst loved her.. i kno i did and i thank ma aunt for being a huge janis joplin fan.. ... it's not wht your hearin' it's wht ya feelin.. when you listen or hear janis sing..... rip janis your music will rock our souls forever.....

Janis Lyn Joplin was born January 19, 1943 and died October 4, 1970. In between she led a triumphant and tumultuous life blessed by an innate talent to convey powerful emotion through heart-stomping rock-and-roll singing.

sad i read the book "Buried alive In the Blues"...(i think i got that right) bt i kno it nothin' like da real janis.. jst so sad she died so young.. very tragic.. such a loss to the music academy .. but she left us wth a legacy of aweome stuff... and all real..no fake..
