Sofremos pelo que não temos, e muitas vezes,
pelo que acreditamos que era nosso,
e na verdade, nunca foi.

Sofremos, pela incerteza do amanhã
que não nos pertence,
mas que tentamos controlar.
Sofremos pelas amizades e afinidades
que tentamos dominar, possuir sem medidas,
e que se afastam de nós.

Sofremos pela doença que podemos ter,
pela gripe que pode virar bronquite,
e nos abatemos.

Sofremos pelo medo do imponderável,
pelo que não podemos medir,
pelo que não vemos, mas as vezes,
podemos ouvir e nos trancamos.
Sofremos pelas nossas faltas,
e nos abatemos com as dificuldades
que criamos e estagnamos.

Por isso,
as notas que não tiramos,
as provas que não passamos,
os amores que não vivemos,
o abraço que perdemos,
os cadernos amarelados,
os cheiros da infância,
a velha chupeta guardada ou perdida,
são doces lembranças,
mas até nelas, sofremos.

Sofremos, porque não queremos nada simples,
nem simplesmente viver,
em simplesmente amar.
Temos medo de nos entregarmos
definitivamente ao amor,
medo de sofrer uma dor maior,
por isso, sofremos,
até pelo que não sabemos.

E hoje,
sabendo que o sofrer é uma antecipação
da dor que nem sempre viveremos,
vou procurar conquistar aquilo que realmente me cabe,
e se a dor me visitar, vai me encontrar mais forte,
porque tenho a exata medida de tudo o que já passei,
e sou o fruto maduro
dessa árvore chamada "vida".
