Life's Light and Shadow

The photo at this part of the site Hippy Themes was taken in 2004 when I was age 60. It was taken at a photo-shoot in Hobart Tasmania. The photo has a light side and a dark side as is obvious to the viewer. This is an appropriate photo to symbolize my lower and higher natures. These are natures that reach for spiritual, ethical, moral heights and attainments on the one hand and that get caught up with the world of mire and clay, or shadowy and ephemeral attachments or the lower self on the other---as some psychologists call the more animal side of one's nature.
