I've learned that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.

but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

and what a tragedy it would be if she believed it I've learned that your family won't always be there for you.
It may seem funny,
but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.

they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

the trick is self-control.

if you are their pillar,
you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.

“Some days you will be the light for others,
and some days you will need some light from them.
As long as there is light,
there is hope,
and there is a way.” ~ Jennifer Gayle Determine to have a good day.
People in Baghdad are having a bad day,
not me,
probably not you.
One-hundred and fifteen killed this morning in a bomb.
Will this madness ever end?
The other day it was Turkey .
Orlando a few weeks ago.
What can we do?
It is evermore important for each of us to make our choices from the heart;
choices that are of compassion,
love, forgiveness and help to others.
As we find it within ourselves,
we are healed.
This healing cannot help but touch the lives of others.
When we can each find this, the world will heal.
When we feel helpless to these atrocities,
this is when it is most important to choose from the heart,
to love.
It is also the most important time to appreciate each day and all that we have.
Send out positive energy to others,
to the world,
with the message of hope and love that one day peace will reign.
Thoughts have great power,
they are like seeds you plant in your mind The more you hold onto a particular thought,
the more power you invest in it.
Positive thoughts give us energy and strength.
Negative thoughts rob us of power and make us feel tired and strained.
We are by nature positive.
Negativity is the result of faulty thinking.
You can change if you want to.
You can’t control other people,
situation or circumstances,
but you can control what is going on inside you.
It takes time to change and transform those old patterns of thinking.
Be patient with yourself.
It starts with a thought…..

Soar Like an Eagle Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us, like the eagle, we can rise above them and ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure, and disappointment into our lives. What is your greatest challenge right now? Jot it down. And then let it lift you higher. Author Unknown
