Kind-Hearted Man Gave Christmas Presents to His Neighborhood Squirrels – and It’s Adorable

The holiday season is the time that we celebrate the generosity of our fellow humans. ‘Tis the season of brotherly (and sisterly) love. But what about the ones we forget – what about the squirrels? Santa can’t slip down their chimney’s (because most trees don’t have chimneys) to give good squ-irls and boys presents, so one man took it upon himself to deliver his furry, arboreal neighbors their Christmas presents this year. This kind man’s daughter, Lucy, took to Twitter to document her father giving these cute critters their gifts . . . and it’s adorable.

Here is Lucy’s father putting out presents for the squirrels that live in their garden.

He wrapped up a package of nuts for each of his four four-legged neighbors and dropped them off on Christmas morning.

One by one, the squirrels came down to collect their presents.

We hope that he helped them with the wrapping paper!

 

 

Thanks to the kindness of this man, a few squirrels will have chestnuts to roast over the fire this year. And his actions did not go unnoticed. His daughter Lucy documented the gift-giving and she almost broke twitter!  Everybody loves a happy ending. But while the holiday season may be coming to a close, we don’t have to stop being kind. Let’s let this father’s generosity inspire us to be kind and loving to every living thing we encounter in 2017.
