Baird T. Spalding became a legend in Metaphysical discovery introducing the Western world to the Elder Brothers or Masters in the Books Vol’s 1 - 5 - "The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East" following contact with a Research party of eleven in the Himalayas in 1894.

He taught "The Masters" accept Buddha as the "Way to Enlightenment" but state Christ IS Enlightenment - a state of consciousness all seek.

Master Emil was the main Guide for the expedition - introducing knowledge of the Master's hidden retreats known as "Shamballa".

Ascended Master Emil June 28th 1970 in a rare Séance materialization gave the lesson of the day!

Sri Sunkara met Spalding's brother at the Seattle home of Rev. Keith Milton Rhinehart, years later on one of Sunkara's trips to India he arrived at the Portal
though was denied entry to the sacred Retreat.
